Nurturing Hearts have a warm and nurturing team with a great vibe!
Our Tuakana (preschool) team is Laurence, Cecil and Suzy. Teina (infants and toddlers) is LG, Barjinder and Christina. We also have a team of wonderful student teachers who both work as cover staff to fill in for staff planning, holidays, training and sickness. It is also their home centre for training practicums.
We are a small and tight team. We have a lot of fun. Music and Dance is a real strength and passions of two of our teachers, who sweep everyone else along too with this running throughout day! We also love our groups of learners we are responsible for and the learning we plan for, implement and evaluate along with families.
Nurturing Hearts is a part of Childcare and Learning Group. Su, our Operations Manager, who whilst always with an eye on compliance, also loves to visit to play with our tamariki, share ideas with kaiako, and spend time here with us enjoying the spirit of Nurturing Hearts.
We also welcome Christie, our senior manager from our peer centre in Te Atatu Peninsula, who guides us in curriculum development.
